The Civil Society Fund is a direct private equity investment fund, working in tandem with US and Moroccan government agencies and programs. Its mission is to create economic and social value in a culturally competent manner, within the framework of stronger economic ties between the US and the Mediterranean and MENA regions. In its initial stage, the Civil Society Fund will make investments in entrepreneurial Moroccan businesses, as well as co-invest and promote US industry participation in burgeoning Moroccan industries.

The Civil Society Fund will seek to offer local firms access to investment capital for Moroccan start-up and existing enterprises. The Fund’s investment criteria will favor women-owned/managed companies, exporting, and socially responsible firms. In addition, Mariner Lighthouse will encourage US and EU Foreign Direct Investment, by offering co-investment and investment advisory services, and by facilitating access to government sponsored business programs.

The result is a high quality return on investment with a commitment to individual, family, community and nation building.
